Who can take part

  • Prostate cancer diagnosed by MRI-guided biopsy showing cancer in one area only (unilateral, Gleason score 4+3)
  • Recent MRI scan at New York-Presbyterian Hospital within 6 months showing suspicious area matching biopsy results
  • Age 40–85 years
  • Willing to have focal therapy and not choosing other treatments like surgery, radiation, or hormone therapy
  • Able to safely undergo the procedure (good overall health, no active infections or severe bowel/urinary problems)
  • No MRI contraindications (no metal implants incompatible with MRI, no severe contrast allergies, able to tolerate the scanner)
