  • You are having elective (planned, not emergency) robotic surgery to remove part of your colon due to cancer
  • This is your first time having this type of colorectal surgery
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • You do not have a history of chronic pain conditions
  • You are not pregnant
  • You do not have severe liver or kidney disease
