Breathing support study during kidney stone removal surgery

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and scheduled for elective (planned, non-emergency) retrograde intrarenal surgery under general anesthesia
  • You are in reasonably good overall health (ASA status I-III, meaning no severe uncontrolled heart disease)
  • You do not have severe lung disease, pregnancy, active infection, or sepsis
  • You do not have morbid obesity that would make it hard to apply the breathing protocol
  • You are not having another major urological procedure at the same time
  • You can read and understand the consent form and provide written permission
