  • Pregnant with one baby (not twins or multiples)
  • Between 8 and 18 weeks pregnant
  • Low vitamin D blood level (less than 25 ng/mL)
  • Not currently taking vitamin D supplements
  • Planning to deliver at Al-Thawra Modern General Hospital
  • No uncontrolled high blood pressure, kidney disease, diabetes, or thyroid problems
