Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have severe injuries to two or more parts of the body (like chest and leg, or arm and abdomen).
  • Your injury severity score (a measure of how bad the injuries are) is 16 or higher.
  • You were admitted to the hospital within 48 hours of the injury.
  • You need pain management while in the hospital.
  • You are getting at least one ultrasound-guided nerve block or a continuous nerve catheter as part of your care.
  • You (or a legal representative) can give permission to use your medical data for research.
