- You are scheduled to have a total knee replacement surgery.
- You are between 18 and 70 years old.
- Your overall health status is rated as ASA I, II, or III (your doctor can tell you this).
- You are not allergic to any of the medicines used in the study.

- You have not had any previous surgery on the same knee.
