Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older.
- You are in the intensive care unit at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital and have been there for less than 72 hours.
- You are on a breathing machine (ventilator).
- You are getting liquid food through a tube that goes into your stomach (nasogastric or orogastric tube).
- If you are in the ECMO group, you must be on ECMO (veno-venous or veno-arterial).
