Testing a nerve-stimulating ear device

Healthy Controls Group - Age and Sex-matched

This study is testing a device that stimulates a nerve in the ear (called the vagus nerve) using a gentle electrical pulse. It might help with certain conditions by affecting the brain and body, but the specific condition it aims to treat is not listed here.

NCT07283913Recruiting
Non-invasive ear nerve stimulation for healthy volunteers

This study tests whether a non-invasive device that stimulates a nerve in the ear can affect health. It is for healthy adults who are not taking medications (except birth control) and can avoid eating and exercise for 12 hours before two of the visits.

NCT07548723Enrolling by invitation
Nerve Stimulation Device Reliability Study

This study tests how reliably a small ear-stimulation device measures heart-rhythm patterns. Researchers want to see if the device gives consistent readings across multiple measurement sessions, which could help doctors monitor heart health in the future.

Ear Nerve Stimulation Study in Healthy Adults

This study tests a non-invasive device that gently stimulates a nerve in your ear to see how it affects your body's nervous system. Researchers will compare different treatment durations in healthy volunteers to understand the best approach.

NCT07501611Not yet recruiting
Ear nerve stimulation and heart health

This trial tests a safe, noninvasive way to stimulate a nerve in your ear (the vagus nerve) to see how it affects your heart and blood vessels. Eligible volunteers must be healthy adults between 18 and 45, not taking heart or mood medications.

Newcastle upon Tyne
NCT07274332Not yet recruiting
Ear nerve stimulation and heart health

This trial tests how mild electrical stimulation of a nerve in your ear affects your heart rate and other body functions. It is for healthy young adults who do not smoke or take medications that affect the heart.

Ear Nerve Stimulation Study in Healthy Adults

This study tests a non-invasive nerve stimulation technique applied to the ear at different frequencies in healthy people. Researchers want to understand how this stimulation affects your body's automatic nervous system (the systems that control heart rate, breathing, and digestion without you thinking about them).
