This Phase 2 study tests whether giving dexamethasone (a steroid medicine) around the time of total thyroid surgery can improve voice outcomes and reduce low-calcium problems. It may help people avoid hoarseness and symptoms of hypocalcemia after surgery, especially those at risk.
