This trial tests a new drug called cirtuvivint, given alone or with another drug (ASTX727), for people with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) that has come back or not responded to treatment, and for people with high-risk MDS who have not been treated before. The goal is to see if these combinations work better than current options.
