Follow-up study for people who received gene-carrying viral vaccines

This is a follow-up study for adults who previously received certain viral vaccines that carry genes (such as vaccinia or fowlpox) through NCI trials or partner sites. The goal is to store and use your leftover samples for future research that may help doctors understand these treatments better.

Who can take part

  • You must be age 18 or older.
  • You must have previously received a poxvirus-based gene-carrying vaccine (or a similar gene-transfer vaccine) through an NCI study.
  • Your previous treatment may have been done at NCI or at an outside site as part of a multi-site study.
  • If you have stored samples from an earlier NCI study, the study may move them to this study for storage.
  • You must be willing to participate in this follow-up study (and allow sample transfer/storage if applicable).
