Neck MRI study of fluid flow in spine and skull problems

Chiari Malformations

Who can take part

  • Be at least 18 years old, or age 12+ if you’re a child patient in the study
  • Have Chiari I or a craniovertebral junction (CVJ) malformation (or be a healthy volunteer)
  • Be able to safely move your neck by bending forward and looking back during the MRI
  • Be able to sit/hold still and follow extra MRI instructions (for children) without sedation or anesthesia
  • Use MRI-compatible head/neck hardware (no MRI-incompatible implants or devices)
