Banking breast cancer and related tissue samples for future studies

Breast Cancer

Part of Cancer, Skin clinical trials.

This study collects and stores tissue and fluid samples from people with a breast lump or breast cancer so researchers can study cancer biology in the future. It may help future patients by allowing better lab tests and research on why breast cancer starts, grows, and comes back.

Banking and testing blood samples to study cancer

This study collects blood samples to “test and store” (bank) information that may help doctors understand cancer in the future. You might be able to join if you’re an adult with confirmed cancer or a higher-than-usual risk for cancer.

Post-death breast tissue donation study for cancer research

This trial invites adults with certain breast cancer conditions to donate tissue after death. Researchers hope the donated samples will help better understand cancer and improve future treatments.

NCT01000883Recruiting
Biopsy study linking breast cancer tissue markers to treatment response

This study looks at breast cancer samples taken by biopsy to see how tissue “molecular markers” relate to how you respond to therapy and how the cancer behaves. It may help researchers better match future treatments to the biology of your tumor.

Study of stored breast or gynecologic cancer tissue for DNA testing

This study collects and stores tissue from people with breast cancer or other gynecologic cancers to do DNA (genomics) testing. It may help researchers better understand these cancers by comparing genetic patterns from real patient tissue.
