Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You (or your legal process) can sign informed consent for tissue donation
- You have metastatic breast cancer, or a hereditary cancer risk syndrome with a higher lifetime risk of breast cancer, and you are followed or treated at UZ Leuven or referred there
- You are not known to have certain contagious infections that could risk researchers handling samples
- Your situation must allow the team to reach the body and confirm the death quickly after passing (for example, living far away or outside Belgium can prevent participation)
- For some sub-studies: you must have the specific breast cancer type (ILC or IBC) or a confirmed cancer gene mutation, and recent other cancers may exclude you
