Who can take part

  • Be age 2 or older and enrolled in an NIH intramural clinical trial approved by an ethics board
  • If under 18, you cannot receive the “probe” portion of the sample collection
  • You (or your legal representative) must be able to understand the study and sign consent
  • You must be receiving or expected to receive a treatment (experimental or FDA-approved) at NIH
  • You qualify if your team expects unusual drug handling (for example due to past toxicities, drug interactions, or genetics) or you have unusual response/toxicity that may relate to high drug levels
