MRI study to improve kidney imaging and research methods

Who can take part

  • Must be able to speak English as your main language (for the CKD part)
  • Age 45 or older (for both the kidney disease and transplant parts)
  • Have enough kidney function information to match the study: CKD part requires reduced kidney filtering (GFR under 90)
  • Must be able to complete about 90 minutes of memory/thinking tests (CKD part)
  • You must be safe for MRI: no pacemaker/defibrillator/brain or heart metal devices or metal/shrapnel in the body
  • MRI safety limits apply: no large metal implants (like hip replacement), no pregnancy, and must be able to tolerate being in the MRI machine
