Who can take part
- Have a clinical diagnosis of radial dysplasia and need reconstructive surgery (or be a control with an injury that needs reconstructive surgery)
- Be able to get informed consent from you or your parent/guardian if you’re a child
- Have enough healthy skin and soft tissue at the planned donor site for surgery
- Do not have extensive existing scar tissue on the forearm and hand
- Do not have a significant skin or soft-tissue problem at the donor site (such as an active problem that affects that area)
- For the radial dysplasia group: your diagnosis must be radial dysplasia (not another condition) and you must be having reconstruction
