Who can take part
- Be within the age range for one of these conditions: hip arthritis (50–80), knee arthritis (50–80), hip labral tear/FAI (18–65), Achilles tendon rupture (25–60), hip fracture (50–85), ankle arthritis (40–80), or ankle/tibia/distal radius/proximal humerus fractures (18–80/18–80/18–80/18–80).
- If your condition is osteochondritis dissecans, patellofemoral dislocation, or involves a child, you must be a parent/caregiver for a child age 8–18 (and for patellofemoral dislocation, the study also includes an adult age 18–50).
- You can read, understand, and give consent in English (or have someone who can assist effectively).
- You must be able to complete the study’s preference questions in a way the team considers “effective consent.”
