Study tracking kidney injury using blood creatinine changes

Who can take part

  • You were diagnosed with sudden kidney injury based on changes in blood creatinine (KDIGO 2012 criteria)
  • You have creatinine blood test results at least twice during your hospital stay
  • You do not already have end-stage kidney disease (kidney failure stage 5)
  • You have not had a kidney removed (nephrectomy) and have not had a kidney transplant
  • Your highest creatinine level is at least 53 µmol/L
  • Your creatinine cannot be changing only because of amputation (it should not decrease after amputation)
