Radiation before or after surgery for prostate cancer spread to lymph nodes

This Phase 2 trial studies whether giving planned radiation to certain lymph node areas (para-aortic/“PART”) after surgery helps people whose prostate cancer has spread to lymph nodes (pN1). You would be screened after a specific lymph node surgery (ePLND) to see if you match their situation, then receive the trial’s radiation plan and follow-up.

Who can take part

  • You must sign consent and be able/willing to follow the treatment and follow-up schedule.
  • You have been diagnosed with prostate cancer confirmed by biopsy (tissue testing).
  • You have not had any previous treatment for prostate cancer (no prior prostate cancer treatment).
  • After a lymph node surgery called ePLND, your results must show pN1 disease as defined by the study protocol.
  • You are over 18 years old and able to understand the study information (language/understanding acceptable).
