Adaptive vs standard radiation for prostate cancer

Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of prostate cancer that has not spread to other parts of the body.
  • Your cancer is considered intermediate or high risk based on standard tests (like PSA, Gleason score, and tumor stage).
  • You are able to have radiation therapy using the specific BC Cancer treatment plan (20 sessions).
  • You have good bladder control or can manage it with a clamp or cuff, and you can follow instructions about filling your bladder.
  • Your urinary symptoms are mild (IPSS score less than 20).
  • You are able to lie still for 30 minutes and have not had radiation to the pelvic area before.
