- You are 18 years or older
- You have HIV infection
- You started a combination HIV treatment plan (HAART)
- Your blood counts and organ blood tests are in safe ranges (white cells, platelets, hemoglobin, kidney, and liver tests)
- You have not had certain treatments recently that affect the immune system (like high-dose steroid pills or chemotherapy)
- You can safely have PET/MR scans (for example, no pacemaker or other MR-incompatible implanted devices)
