Who can take part
- Be over 18 years old and able to read and consent to the study paperwork
- Have HIV and either started combination HIV treatment (ART), are not on ART, or stopped and then not taken it for at least 1 week before the scan
- Have recent bloodwork (within 60 days) that meets certain safety and immune/organ limits, including kidney function
- Be able to safely have an MRI scan (no metal/pacemaker that can’t go in an MRI, and not too anxious in the scanner)
- Not have had immune-changing medicines (other than an HIV DNA vaccine) in the last 60 days
