- You are older than 18
- Your breast cancer has invaded the chest wall (such as ribs or nearby chest muscles), confirmed by scans and biopsy
- Your doctors consider you well enough to have surgery
- If your cancer came back in the same area, it has been more than 1 year since your initial treatment
- You are able to receive chemotherapy if your care plan requires it
