Who can take part

  • You are either a child or an adult who needs surgery that could be done with robotic tools
  • A surgeon has determined that your type of operation is suitable for robotic surgery
  • If you are a minor, a parent or guardian can agree to the surgery (no refusal)
  • You do not have anatomy-related or anesthesia-related reasons that make minimally invasive/robotic surgery unsafe for you
  • You are willing to have the team proceed if you (or your parent/guardian) do not object
