Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with diabetes.
  • You are under 75 years old.
  • You are willing to sign informed consent (agree to join).
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you cannot join.
  • You should not be on long-term steroid (glucocorticoid) treatment for another chronic illness.
  • You should not have a severe infection or major immune problems (diabetic foot infections are an exception).
