Who can take part
- You have a child with an age-related focal epilepsy type such as BECTS, ABPE, or ECSWS
- The child has normal brain scan results (neuroimaging)
- The child is developing normally in their thinking and movement (psychomotor development)
- Both parents can sign the consent, and the child agrees if they are able
- The child is covered by social security (as in France)
- The child is hospitalized for follow-up, or (if in the comparison group) hospitalized for a non-neurologic reason
