Who can take part
- Be at least 18 years old
- Smoke at least 5 cigarettes per day
- Have a breath carbon monoxide level of 5 or more parts per million
- Plan to quit smoking
- Live in the Birmingham area and not plan to move away within the next 6 months
- Have access to a telephone
