Who can take part

  • You are an adult (18 or older)
  • You have diabetes
  • You have nerve feeling loss in the foot on a monofilament test (or “can’t feel a light touch” test)
  • You have an isolated ankle fracture (not a severe type called pilon) and plan to have surgery within 3 weeks of the injury
  • You can use and follow the brace and post-surgery instructions
  • Your weight is under 275 lb (124 kg)
