Who can take part

  • You had your most recent stroke within the last 4 weeks
  • You are 21 to 80 years old
  • Your weakness affects one side of your body (unilateral hemiparesis)
  • You can safely bear weight and walk with an assistive device while wearing the brace
  • You can fit the device: height under 60 inches or over 76 inches, and weight must be under 220 pounds
  • You can follow simple instructions and communicate in English enough to do training and consent
