  • The baby’s mother is at least 18 years old
  • The baby was born at the right size for their due date or was larger than expected
  • The baby was born at least 38 weeks gestation
  • The baby weighs at least 2.5 kilograms at birth
  • A skin-thickness measurement on the upper butt area is at least 1 inch
  • The baby does not have signs of poor growth in the womb
