Who can take part
- You are having surgery for a broken hip on one side using an intramedullary nail (a rod placed inside the bone)
- You are between 50 and 85 years old
- Your body weight falls within a BMI greater than 18 and less than 35
- Your imaging shows a proximal femur fracture type in the 31 A1.3 to 31 A3.3 range (as categorized by the trial’s bone fracture system)
- You can give consent and follow all study steps and follow-up visits
- You have no serious other illnesses (like severe heart, liver, or kidney problems) that would make study participation unsafe
