Who can take part
- You have a soft tissue sarcoma in an arm/leg, pelvis, chest wall, or trunk/abdominal wall (not the retroperitoneal space)
- Your overall health allows activity at an “ECOG 0 to 2” level (you can do at least some daily activities)
- Your care team believes you can complete both the radiation treatments and the planned surgery
- You have not had radiation before to the same body area being treated in this study
- You are not pregnant
- You do not have an active collagen “connective tissue” disease and you are not known to have a genetic risk for higher radiation side effects
