Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older and having a liver transplant
  • Agree to take part in the study (give consent)
  • No active skin or deep tissue infection at the time of surgery
  • No history of mesh infection from a previous hernia repair
  • Your surgical connection should be the standard type (biliary-biliary), not a connection that enters the bowel (like hepaticojejunostomy)
