Who can take part
- You are scheduled for planned laparoscopic gallbladder surgery at this hospital
- You may have a bile duct procedure during the same surgery
- Your overall health is rated lower than ASA IV
- You are not allergic or intolerant to any component of the mesh
- You do not already have an abdominal wall hernia (either new/primary or a prior incisional hernia)
- Your surgery will stay laparoscopic (not switched to open surgery), and it is not an emergency
