Who can take part

  • Be age 21 to under 80 (men and women can join)
  • You recently had a successful, uncomplicated ureteroscopy to treat stones on one side
  • You can have small, silent stones on the other side (less than 4 mm), but they must not be blocking the kidney or ureter
  • Your medical team must feel your body can fit one of several stent lengths (20–30 mm)
  • You must be able to understand the study, sign consent, and return for follow-up visits
  • You cannot have certain urinary conditions, infections, blockage/strictures, cancers, or other “unsafe for this stent” issues
