Who can take part

  • Be a boy or girl age 8 to 10
  • Have a normal weight based on BMI (less than the 85th percentile)
  • Be willing to stop nutritional supplements for at least 2 weeks before each testing visit
  • Have no current infection needing antibiotics, or be able to delay testing until symptoms improve
  • Be considered “active” based on prior fitness testing and activity measurements
