Testing tumor genetics in young people with bone sarcomas

Diagnosed or Relapsed/Refractory Sarcomas

This study looks at the genetic (DNA) features of tumors in children, teens, and young adults with osteosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, or synovial sarcoma. It may help researchers better understand these cancers by analyzing a fresh tumor sample and a blood sample.

Who can take part

  • Your cancer must be osteosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, or synovial sarcoma confirmed by pathology (microscope testing).
  • You can be either newly diagnosed or have cancer that has come back (relapsed) or not responded (refractory).
  • You must be 24 years old or younger.
  • You (or your parent/legal guardian) must sign consent for genetic testing on the tumor sample.
  • You must have a fresh tumor sample available and a small blood sample (10 ml) for testing.
  • A pathologist must be able to review your tumor sample.
