Who can take part
- You have confirmed gastroesophageal (GE) junction or esophagogastric cancer that is T3/T4 or has lymph nodes (N+) that are larger than 1 cm or show up on a PET scan
- You are age 18 or older
- Your general health is good enough to do normal activity (ECOG 0–1) and you’re expected to live more than 3 months
- Blood tests must meet minimum levels for white blood cells, platelets, liver function, and kidney function
- You must not have had chemo, targeted/biologic therapy, or radiation for this same cancer before
- You must use effective birth control (and get a negative pregnancy test if you can become pregnant) and you cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding
