Who can take part

  • You have adenocarcinoma of the gastroesophageal junction (where the stomach meets the esophagus).
  • You have not received any chemotherapy or radiation for this cancer before.
  • Your cancer is locally advanced but has not spread to other organs (stages T2-4, any N, M0).
  • You are 18 or older and in good general health (ECOG 0 or 1).
  • Your blood counts and kidney/liver function are within normal limits (specific lab thresholds apply).
  • You are not pregnant and agree to use effective contraception if applicable.
