Who can take part

  • You have a type of bladder cancer called high-grade non-muscle invasive (NMIBC) that either has not spread into the muscle layer.
  • You have either: (1) a flat, aggressive cancer called CIS that came back within 12 months after BCG treatment, (2) you never had BCG, or (3) you had some BCG but not enough.
  • Your doctor has confirmed you cannot have or choose not to have bladder removal surgery (cystectomy).
  • You are at least 18 years old, not pregnant or breastfeeding, and willing to use effective birth control during the study.
  • You have adequate kidney, liver, and blood counts (checked by blood tests), and you can hold the study drug in your bladder for 60 minutes.
  • You are not taking strong immune-suppressing medicines, and you do not have other active cancers or serious infections.
