This study looks at whether low testosterone (often called male hypogonadism) is linked to having HIV. It compares HIV-positive men with HIV-negative men to better understand what contributes to hormone problems and how common they are.

Who can take part
- You are a man who has sex with men (in either group).
- You are living with HIV, or you are HIV-negative.
- You have NOT taken testosterone or anabolic (muscle-building) steroid medicine in the past year.
- You do NOT have a history of pituitary, adrenal, or gonad (testicle/hormone gland) disease or hormone-gland surgery or radiation.
- You are not currently being treated for a serious infection that takes advantage of weakened immunity, and you do not have active cancer or major heart, liver, or kidney disease.
