Who can take part
- Be between 5 and under 18 years old when the study starts (turning 18 during the study is allowed).
- Have a confirmed diagnosis of NF1 (including mosaic/segmental NF1).
- Be able to get the MRI without needing sedation (sleeping medicine).
- Not have certain metal- or magnet-related implants, devices, or metal fragments in the body.
- Be able to complete the scan despite claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces) and be able to lie on your back facing upward.
- Not have an allergy to animal dander or asthma that is triggered by animals.
