Who can take part
- Your BMI is 40 or higher, or 35 or higher with at least one related condition (type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, high cholesterol, or hip/knee osteoarthritis).
- Your hospital’s BMDT (bariatric multidisciplinary team) evaluation says you’re eligible.
- You do not have an H. pylori infection that is resistant to treatment.
- You do not have long-lasting (chronic) diarrhea.
- You have not had prior bariatric surgery or other major abdominal surgery.
