Carb plus nitrate drinks before gynecologic surgery

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old
  • Your anesthesia risk level is ASA I or II
  • You are scheduled for an elective open gynecologic surgery
  • You do not have a known allergy to the study drinks/medications
  • You have not had chemotherapy before
  • You do not have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, and you have not had bariatric surgery
