Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older (the study is for adults only)
  • You have a confirmed infection in one of these areas: urine, lungs (pneumonia), or a deeper infection
  • The germ found in the lab must be one of these: E. coli, Klebsiella, Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), or Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa)
  • If you are in a control group, your routine lab test must show no bacteria and you must have no other infection for 10 days
  • You must agree to participate with general research consent (you can’t refuse or block reuse of samples/data)
