Who can take part
- You are scheduled for a hip replacement (hip arthroplasty).
- Your surgeon must use a hip implant made by ATF Implants and/or Lapé Médical.
- Your reason for needing a hip replacement may include common causes like arthritis, arthritis after injury, worn-out hip (degenerative arthritis), bone death (osteonecrosis), past childhood hip problems (Perthes/epiphysiolysis), or needing a revision.
- You do NOT have an active or ongoing infection anywhere in the body or around the hip.
- You should not have severe nerve, muscle, or blood-flow problems in the affected leg that would endanger healing or function.
- You should not have allergies to the implant materials, or major bone weakness/defects that could prevent the implant from holding securely.
