Who can take part

  • You have vulvar squamous cell carcinoma confirmed by biopsy (not another type of vulvar cancer).
  • Your vulvar tumor is small: T1 stage, less than 4 cm, and not growing into the urethra, vagina, or anus.
  • The tumor has invaded more than 1 mm deep, and it is only one (unifocal) tumor.
  • Scans (CT/MRI/ultrasound) should not show suspicious groin lymph nodes larger than 1.5 cm, and your sentinel lymph node must be found to have spread (including certain cases with small metastasis).
  • You must be able to consent, follow study steps, and attend follow-up; age 18+; and expected survival of at least 12 weeks.
  • Blood tests and general health must meet targets (enough white blood cells, platelets, good kidney and liver function), and heart conditions should be stable; you should not be pregnant or trying to become pregnant.
