Who can take part

  • You’re generally healthy and able to participate in a memory-related study.
  • For the main behavioral part: you must be age 18–35.
  • For the brain-scanning (fMRI) part: you must be age 18–80.
  • You must be a native English speaker.
  • You must be right-handed.
  • You must not currently have certain mental health issues, take psychoactive (mind-altering) drugs, or have had poor sleep recently (less than 6 hours on average in the past month or less than 4 hours the night before).
