- You were diagnosed with a recent acute heart attack using standard medical criteria
- You are expected to live at least 12 months
- You do not have a known cancer (malignant tumor)
- You are not pregnant and do not plan pregnancy in the next year
- You have not taken blood-thinner medicine like heparin within 24 hours before the first blood sample
